Martin Bush holds a Ph.D in chemical engineering and fuel technology and an MSc in Protected Landscape Management. For the last 30 years, he has worked extensively overseas leading teams focused on renewable energy and natural resources management in Mali, Guinea, Haiti, Madagascar, Egypt, Sudan, and Djibouti. For the past decade his work has increasingly focused on climate change adaptation. In 2018, Dr. Bush returned to Canada from Djibouti where he was leading an EU-funded project on climate change adaptation and improving energy efficiency in buildings.
In 2017, Dr. Bush published his first book: Climate change adaptation in small island developing states, which focuses on climate adaptation strategies and solutions for small islands. His second book: Climate change and renewable energy: How to end the climate crisis, was just published this year.
