Course Description
This is the course to prepare aspiring Energy Advisors to prepare them for the second rigorous Natural Resources Canada test, the Energy Advisor Exam. This is a huge career opportunity for future EnerGuide Energy Advisors.
The Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Energy Advisor Exam (House) assesses candidates in the following areas.
- Knowledge of EnerGuide Rating System
- Knowledge of the HOT2000 Modelling
- Ability to administer and deliver the EnerGuide Rating System
- Ability to perform general quality assurance on house files under the EnerGuide rating System Version 15
The main objective of this course is to increase the chance of the participants passing the Energy Advisor Exam (House) V15.10. With over 220 learning objectives in this course provides solid program knowledge and effective study notes for participants to challenge the Energy Advisor Exam. At the end of this training, students will be given a mock-up version of the NRCan energy advisor exam to test their knowledge and identify their weaknesses. This exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions with a passing mark of 75% or higher. Participants have a maximum of 3 hours to complete the exam.

- Building Science Principles & the House-as-a-System Concept (Day 3 and 4)
Prerequisites:
- No prerequisites for ET-106: Registered Energy Advisor Fundamentals Exam Preparation for Prospective and Current Energy Advisors
Who Should Attend:
- Current REA looking for re-certification.
- People with building science training looking for a promising career path.
