Funding Support for Employee Training
Resilient World Institute is proud to report that it is now able to offer training grants to employers who want to invest in upgrading the training of their staff through our courses. Employers can now apply for very generous Ontario Job Grant to help defray their training investment cost!
What is Ontario Job Grant (OJG)?
COJG is a funding program created by developed and administered by the Government of Ontario to increase the skill levels of its workforce, in recognition that the economy of Ontario is strengthened by highly educated and technically trained employees working for well managed companies.
Who Qualifies for OJG?
OJG training support is offered directly to employers to help offset their investment in training costs through qualified programs like the ones offered by Resilient World Institute. This funding is offered to companies, not individual employees, in accordance with the project guidelines detailed below.
How Large are the OJG Grants?
Employers with fewer than 100 staff may qualify for an astounding 5/6th (83.33%) rebate of their training cost investment in our courses.
Larger companies with over 100 employees may qualify for a 50% rebate on their training investment in our courses
Ontario Job Grant (OJG) Availability
- The Resilient World Institute is a registered participant in the Ontario Job Grant program which offers generous government incentives to employers to upgrade their employee’s skills.
- Small businesses with up to 100 employees can apply for a rebate of 5/6ths tuition fees.
- Larger businesses can apply for a 50% rebate.
- In order to qualify for this funding, companies to to apply in advance to determine their eligibility for a rebate.
- This process normally takes one month so you should plan your application process accordingly.
- The rebate must be applied for before registering and paying for the desired class.

OJG Employer Eligibility Government Program Criteria
For your application to be eligible for funding, all of the following eligibility requirements must be met:
- You are licensed to operate your business in Ontario;
- You are applying to train an Ontario resident you employ or will employ;
- You are applying for training that will be delivered in Ontario and is related to a job that is also located in Ontario;
- You are in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Employment Standards Act;
- You are in compliance with all applicable federal and provincial human rights legislation, regulations, and any other relevant standards;
- You have adequate third-party liability insurance as advised by your insurance broker;
- You have Workplace Safety Insurance coverage;
- You are not a federal, provincial, or municipal government or agency;
- You are not a designated broader public sector organization, as defined by the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act;
- You are not a district social services administration board established under the District Social Services Administration Boards Act, notwithstanding their exclusion under the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act;
- You are not an Employment Service or a Ontario Job Grant service provider;
- You are not in receipt of other government funds related to the same skills training for the same individual(s); and
- You must not use training participants to displace existing staff or replace staff currently on lay-off.

Your employer must apply for the Job Grant (COJG) and be “approved” by the Granting Agency before registering and paying for a Course.
